I was looking for elastic to finish the graduation hats for the Church College of New Zealand selfie spot in our museum. I had not been able to find sturdy white fabric to make them. I resorted to new extra pillowcases that Elder Taylor in the mission office gave me.
Well, I hadn't looked here. This place is called David's Emporium and it is in downtown Hamilton. It has a MANAGERIE of stuff. I bought a pair of no-show bamboo socks, elastic, needles and a $5 apron among other things. (I have a business that sells apron patterns. I have a dozen hanging in my sewing room at home. What!? I didn't bring one with me?!) This store was a find!
Maybe I won't need to buy a lot from David's Emporium but it is just a comfort knowing it is there.
Here I am in my child's size graduation hat.
You never know which of your skills you will need on a mission.
I love what I am doing! We are in Heaven!
